The Sydney Film Festival is a highlight of the Sydney event calendar and fast becoming one of the world’s key film festivals.

Deanne was appointed chairman of the Sydney Film Festival board in 2017, having joined the board in 2015.

Held each June with its heart in Sydney’s iconic State Theatre, the festival is a celebration of film and conversation, challenging and entertaining filmgoers and bringing some of the greatest filmmakers from around the world to our shores.

The festival is not just about the movies: it is about ideas, social change and the evolution of an art form.

As well as Deanne's role on the board, the WeirAnderson Foundation - which believes in the power of sharing stories - is a Sydney Film Festival patron.
