The Sydney Film Festival is a highlight of the Sydney event calendar and fast becoming one of the world’s key film festivals.

Held each June with its heart in Sydney’s iconic State Theatre, the festival is a celebration of film and conversation, challenging and entertaining filmgoers and bringing some of the greatest filmmakers from around the world to our shores.

The festival is not just about the movies: it is about ideas, social change and the evolution of an art form.

The WeirAnderson Foundation believes in the power of sharing stories and the Sydney Film Festival is a perfect vehicle for this.

In October 2015, Deanne joined the Sydney Film Festival board.
